ND:Yag 1064 Laser

HOME / NON-SURGICAL PROCEDURES / ND:YAG 1064 LASER
nd:yag laser procedure

Virginia Advanced Surgical Arts believes that every patient should have access to high-quality treatment and an excellent experience with their healthcare provider.

That is why we use advanced technology like the Ellipse Laser Treatment system. This versatile tool targets various types of vascular lesions to give patients predictable and improved results.

By using the ND:Yag 1064 Modality of the Ellipse Laser Treatment system on the face, head, and neck, our facial cosmetic surgeons can clear these vascular lesions by targeting the blood vessels causing the condition.

As the laser emits a precise wavelength, energy is sent into the blood and vessel walls, where it is absorbed. The red blood cells are then heated, encouraging the targeted vessel to collapse. The targeted blood vessel then deteriorates, and the vascular lesion will disappear from the skin.

What are the Benefits of ND:Yag 1064?

The ND:Yag 1064 is uniquely designed to treat vascular lesions with patient comfort in mind. During treatment, a no-contact patented, integrated SoftCool Technology is used.

Unlike other treatments that use contact cooling, ND:Yag 1064 SoftCool Technology prevents the targeted vessels from constricting during treatment, meaning one treatment session with ND:Yag 1064 is more effective than other laser treatments on the market.

Another benefit of the ND:Yag 1064 is how the diverse handpiece allows us to target more areas of concern.

The controlled zooming ability enables us to change the target area from 1.5-5.0mm, making your treatment flexible and specifically designed to meet your needs. The different handpieces available are:

Circular, for use when treating telangiectasia, reticular vessels, hemangiomas, and more

Semi-circular, for use when treating difficult-to-reach vessels near the eye and clear nail treatments

Circular sapphire, for use when light pressure is needed to isolate the vessel

More than that, patients will truly appreciate the many physical benefits they will gain from treatment with ND:Yag 1064. It works to:

Improve skin tone

Reduce rosacea and thread facial vein

Reduce facial wrinkles and fine lines

Treat sun damage including age spots and brown pigmentation

Firm and tighten the skin

Stimulate new collagen and elastin tissue production

What Our Patients Say

“I felt welcomed and valued from the second I walked in the door to the moment I left. Every person I interacted with- from the front desk staff, to the surgical assistants, and even the doctor himself- was kind, informative, and helpful. I had my wisdom teeth removed on Friday and was back to work with only a mild and easily manageable headache on Monday. They gave clear instructions on how to prevent infection and dry socket, and even called to check up on me the day of and week after my procedure! I strongly recommend this office to anyone who is searching for the services they offer.

“Everyone was super nice, friendly, and courteous. The office is clean and modern. Everyone was professional and seemed pretty organized. I got to watch Netflix laying down while I waited as well. The staff was nice enough to even switch it to a show I recommended!! Also, there are snacks and drinks available for your drivers waiting on you. As someone who is wary of going to the dentist, it was a great experience and I’d recommend this place! Cute valentines day decorations when I was there too!”
