Meet Craig E. Vigliante

HOME / About / MEET DR. CRAIG VIGLIANTE
dr. vigliante

Dr. Vigliante was introduced to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery while pursuing his undergraduate studies at Fairfield University in Southern Connecticut. During this time, he had double jaw surgery to treat his anterior open bite.

Having experienced major reconstructive jaw surgery, Dr. Vigliante easily relates to patients in need of corrective jaw surgery or any other cosmetic or oral surgical procedure. He takes the time with his patients to discuss the risks and benefits of the proposed procedure and fully answers any questions.

Educational
Background

He received Doctorates in Medicine and Dental Medicine from two prestigious U.S. schools—the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

After graduating first in his class from the University of Pittsburgh, he completed his IVY League residency in General Surgery and Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), regularly ranked by U.S. News and World Report as top U.S. Hospitals.

He completed further training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery through an accredited Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship associated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Additional Qualifications & Accomplishments

Dr. Vigliante is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also holds active Medical and Dental licenses in the state of Virginia.

In addition, he was the first area Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to receive full Cosmetic Surgery operating room privileges at INOVA Loudoun Hospital. He has been voted multiple times by his peers as a Top Surgeon in the Washingtonian, Virginia Living, and Northern Virginia Magazines.

Dr. Vigliante is a strong advocate of Continuing Education Courses and regularly hosts courses for area doctors and staff. He has also lectured nationally at meetings and to surgery residents, specifically on the topic of Cosmetic Facial Surgery.

He is an active member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has had multiple experiences teaching CPR to students and doctors. He is Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. He is on the medical staff at INOVA Loudoun Hospital and enjoys practicing the full scope of oral/maxillofacial and cosmetic facial surgery.

Over the years, he has been involved in charitable giving of his time and expertise in multiple locations around Loudoun County, including providing free health care to less fortunate patients in his own office.

Outside the office, Dr. Vigliante enjoys multiple sporting activities (especially following the Washington Nationals), theatre, and spending time with his family and friends.

What Our Patients Say

“I felt welcomed and valued from the second I walked in the door to the moment I left. Every person I interacted with- from the front desk staff, to the surgical assistants, and even the doctor himself- was kind, informative, and helpful. I had my wisdom teeth removed on Friday and was back to work with only a mild and easily manageable headache on Monday. They gave clear instructions on how to prevent infection and dry socket, and even called to check up on me the day of and week after my procedure! I strongly recommend this office to anyone who is searching for the services they offer.

“Everyone was super nice, friendly, and courteous. The office is clean and modern. Everyone was professional and seemed pretty organized. I got to watch Netflix laying down while I waited as well. The staff was nice enough to even switch it to a show I recommended!! Also, there are snacks and drinks available for your drivers waiting on you. As someone who is wary of going to the dentist, it was a great experience and I’d recommend this place! Cute valentines day decorations when I was there too!”
