Over time, the features of your face may lose fullness, definition, and smoothness. Fine lines, loss of volume in the cheeks and lips, and wrinkles around your brow and eye area can all age your appearance.
Facial rejuvenation treatments with Dr. M. Timothy Gocke can address each of these concerns and, in many cases, provide immediate aesthetic improvement. Dr. Gocke is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has spent years resolving cosmetic concerns related to the face. Through his practice, he provides Northern Virginia patients with a wide range of non-surgical solutions. Explore available treatments below.
Facial Rejuvenation Options With Virginia Oral, Facial & Implant Surgery
Maybe you have begun noticing deeper smile lines or vertical wrinkles around your mouth. Your cheeks may have lost their youthful fullness, or your lips may have flattened out and have less definition than in years past. Dermal fillers can address each of these aesthetic concerns immediately with an effective duration lasting from months to years.
Our practice offers Northern Virginia patients with the full range of JUVÉDERM® products from Allergan™, including Ultra XC, Ultra Plus XC, VOLBELLA®, VOLLURE™ and VOLUMA®. Each of these products is made from a modified form of hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the skin and which promotes softness, fullness, and overall facial rejuvenation.
Unlike with other providers, Dr. Gocke performs all injectable treatments for his Northern Virginia patients. This means that patients receive care from a specialist who has years of experience in both surgical and non-surgical procedures and who is a specialist in facial aesthetics.
When you make certain expressions, fine lines and wrinkles can appear on your face and age your features. Over time, these dynamic wrinkles may wear into permanent fixtures. It’s for this reason that BOTOX has become one of the most popular injectable aesthetic treatments in the world.
BOTOX Cosmetic promotes facial rejuvenation by temporarily diminishing the appearance of:
- Crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes.
- Frown lines between the eyebrows.
- Forehead lines.
Results can last up to four months, after which Northern Virginia patients can return for follow-up treatment. Dr. Gocke also uses BOTOX for temporarily resolving symptoms associated with TMJ disorders, such as headaches, and for treating trigger points around the head and neck. He conducts all injections for patients in our practice.
Laser Scar Removal
Acne scarring is a common cosmetic concern that can affect your features even decades after you’ve left your teenage years. Dr. Gocke provides Northern Virginia patients with facial rejuvenation solutions that can reduce acne scarring and leave the treated area looking five to ten years younger.
The two options that the practice offers — laser scar removal and sublative RF technology therapy — are effective and well established. Both are capable of giving patients smoother, more cosmetically appealing skin:
- If you opt for the laser approach, you will have only a single treatment with the practice and a single recovery. The typical recovery period is about 7-10 days, during which time you will need to stay out of sunlight completely. For severe scars, 2-3 treatments may be needed.
- If you choose RF therapy, you will visit our practice for 3-4 different applications spaced four weeks apart. Downtime following each RF application is about two to three days.
Dr. Gocke can detail the advantages of each option and recommend an approach based on your needs and goals. By the conclusion of either treatment, your acne scars should have faded significantly.
Facial moles present a cosmetic concern and, potentially, a health issue as well. As an oral and maxillofacial specialist, Dr. Gocke has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating irregular skin growths. Dr. Gocke spent years in Dallas, Texas performing reconstruction on facial skin cancer patients.
As part of your care, Dr. Gocke will evaluate whether the mole in question is benign (non-cancerous) or whether it requires further analysis and a biopsy:
- If the mole is benign, he can use a laser or other specialized devices to remove the tissue.
- If the mole needs further investigation, he can biopsy the tissue and, if indicated, remove the mole surgically.
In general, Northern Virginia patients are good candidates for laser if the mole is skin colored or is a skin tag. Dr. Gocke can provide further information about this type of facial rejuvenation as part of your consultation. Patients do not require sedation for mole removal. Once the area is carefully numbed, most people find the experience very manageable, and treatment with a laser device can completely remove the mole within 20 minutes.
