Drs. Fizzah and M. Timothy Gocke recently sponsored The Washington Ballet’s Amuse Bouche special event on Friday, February 10th, 2017. Learn why we are honored to support our local community in this way.
An Honorable Cause for the Community and Beyond
The Washington Ballet’s Women’s Committee hosted an incredible event:
Amuse Bouche a lively evening benefiting The Washington Ballet where attendees could show their support while indulging in “a taste of France, dance, romance, and chance”.
Some highlights of the Amuse Bouche evening by TWB:
The evening began of course with a great champagne reception and a French-inspired meal. Each dish was combined with various types of wine selected by a local Virginia expert, Doug House, the owner of Chain Bridge Cellars in McLean.
Shortly after, attendees enjoyed an excerpt of Giselle masterfully performed by dancers from The Washington Ballet.
The final live auction was full of experiences and offers to travel the world including:
- A 2 night stay at a 5 star luxury resort in Versailles, France
- Wine tasting experiences and private tours
- 2 tickets to Paris, France
- And many local opportunities to fine dining
Were you a winner? We would love to see some photos of your trip and experiences fine dining!
Why We Support The Washington Ballet
By means of our community’s support and generous contributions, we provide The Washington Ballet with the needed assets to grow and maintain their level of elite performance. We help the young ones in our community find structure and develop into productive members of our growing society.
In addition to their top-notch Ballet School, The Washington Ballet enriches and enlivens the lives of many families in our community and beyond thanks to their:
- Adult Classes for balance and confidence
- Choreography and orchestra artists
- Elite-level artistic performances
- Summer student programs
Thanks to the work TWB does with youths and adults some in our community have found a lifelong career, others have ignited or re-ignited a passion for dance, still others have now an opportunity to rehabilitate their lives!
We look forward to the next event to show our continued support of The Washington Ballet. We invite all who can in our community, especially parents and their young teens, to visit The Washington Ballet and see how they can benefit from this renown institution.
